Wed Mar 31 20:44:27 MST 2004
Date is April 13th. Potluck BBQ 5:30-7:30, French
Polish with Eugene Clark to follow.
Address Michael Gurian 5350 30th Ave NW Seattle
(located on his barge just east of the Ballard Locks)
A bit tricky to find the first time as it is located
in a commercial boatyard. Parking at the locks is
free. Walk east up the railraod tracks about 100
yards or so, entrance on the right.
ph (206) 467-7990 Gurian Instruments if you get lost.
Our regular meeting dates are almost without fail 2nd
tuesday of each month. The info is usually posted
simultaneously on the web site and sometimes is
earlier than the announcement.
Seating is often in short supply so bring a couple of
folding chairs or camp chairs if you can.
As always please bring any new work or items of
interest. Those among us that can play well are
encouraged to do if they wish. Guests and new or
prospective members are welcome. RSVP to me
recommended if bringing an entourage (more than 1
guest)
I have had inquiries as to "what to bring?" or how
much donation?
Michael very much enjoys hosting potlucks and the
diversity of food and guests is what makes it
especially fun. My suggestion is bring something you
enjoy and would like to share. (some of us bring
spirits and nosh on others offerings)
No explicit stipend has been suggested. I expect that
the opportunity for a longer teaching session with
Eugene is a possible followon event in part based on
response to this event. The donation for the April
meeting can be determined by the value you get out of
it.
Robb
apologies for the length
