Greetings fellow luthiers,
Some of you may be aware of the fantastic horde of Claro Walnut residing at the Hammond Ashley Violin shop. For those that are not, It was cut many years ago for gun stocks and is 2"to3" thick and various widths and lengths it came from orchard trees in Oregon. The story of how it came to be there is to long to tell now, but I will say that it is beautiful wood and makes wonderful musical instruments. The sad part is that this huge pile will soon be sold, so we have one more chance to get the pick of this great wood.
By special arrangement we are being given one last opportunity, before it goes away and that is this Friday June 11th 9:00 am or so. I know this is short notice, but if you can make it please do.
If you have any questions give me a call.
David Haxton (206) 723-9328
