[Seattle Luthiers Group Notice] Brent is in hospital!

Fellow luthiers;
I just received work that Brent was injured in a fall
off his roof. He is in hospital for awhile, see
information below.

Michael got this email forwarded to him from Julius
Borges.  If you could spread the word through the
luthier's group I'm sure Brent would appreciate it. We
haven't spoken to him yet, so there is no update as to
how he is doing.

Hi Julius,
This is not Brent writing, but Shirley.  We met
briefly at Healdsburg, I don't know if you remember. 
I am Brent's girlfriend

Anyway, that's not important.   I am writing you
rather than Brent because
of some bad news.  I've just spent the last 3 days at
the hospital, and will likely be there for the next
several days, and perhaps even a week or two. Brent
fell off the roof last week.  It was a very bad fall.
The good news is that he only broke his leg and his
knee, and not his back as he feared.  The bad news is
that the break is very bad.  He went into surgery
Friday night to stabilize his leg.  They will need to
do what they think now is perhaps 2 or maybe 3 more
surgeries to repair the break.

Brent is going to be out of commission for awhile, and
he may or may not be out of the hospital when you are
here in Seattle.  He might, but it's not looking like
it right now.  Hopefully we will get some answers from
the Dr's tomorrow.

If you want to call him, he has his cell phone with
him.  The number is 206 604 1741

I'm just starting to let his friends know, I've been
preoccupied these past few days, but he's in a lot
less pain now, and I am feeling a little less
intensely focused on him.  Anyway, if you talk to any
of Brent's friends, they won't know yet.  You are
first person I've notified, partly because as I was
checking his email I saw the Seattle Luthiers group
email about your upcoming visit. Also, because Brent
speaks highly of you, and I know he likes quite a lot.

Anyway- I am quite tired, and think I will go get s
little sleep before I head back to the hospital
tomorrow morning.
